Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to maintain and repair various systems within our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally to support operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Operate and maintain logic controllers for various facility systems.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Supervise and lead small teams during maintenance projects or repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to facility-related inquiries.
  • Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
  • Proven customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members when required.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
