Location: Telford area

Pay Range: £500 - £600 per working day negotiable

Contract Type: Temporary contract interim

Contract Length : 3 – to 6 months ongoing

42 average working weeks. Please note flexibility to work in a 24/7 plant. Factory site based leadership role onsite.

We are hiring a newly created role for an Area Maintenance Manager , responsible to the Site Engineering Manager within a large complex manufacturing and packaging plant

This Will suit an Engineering Maintenance Manager looking for responsibility, accountability and career development or an interim contract change professional ready for a new assignment

Key Responsibilities – Area Maintenance Manager

•You will lead the engineering maintenance function, in your area, providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service through a large team of established shift maintenance engineers

•Recruiting, leading, coaching, and developing a team of multi-skilled engineers, setting and delivering KPI's; striving for world class maintenance standards

•Responsible for ensuring that assets and machinery produce products to their maximum efficiency and output

This includes leading a Total Preventative Maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical and automation equipment

• Implement standardised preventative, corrective and condition-based maintenance systems; a TPM system for the site

•Assisting in driving capital projects for the site – we are installing and commissioning high speed fill and pack lines

•You will monitor both maintenance and capital expenditure budgets

Qualifications and Requirements – Area Maintenance Manager

•A recognised engineering qualification, with experience of leading engineers

•A manufacturing background is preferred but completely open on backgrounds it's a leadership role

•Excellent Leadership Skills

•Lean Manufacturing experience – RCM/TPM/OEE and related lean techniques

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to inspire and lead teams

•A proven track record of meeting agreed engineering maintenance performance targets
