Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- 6/7am starts
- 4 days a week with occasional Friday mornings
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles.
- Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is required as well as valid CPC
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
