Graduate Formulation Chemist

Telford (commutable from Shrewsbury, Birmingham and surrounding areas)

Salary - £25,000-£28,000

Hours - Monday to Friday; 8am to 4:30pm. 45 minutes lunchbreak

Driver's licence and access to a car preferable as site is difficult to get to

SRG is working with a leading manufacturer of pest control products. Recently, a vacancy has arisen on their laboratory team for a junior formulation chemist. This role would suit someone with a background in chemistry who is looking to develop skills in an industrial role. Applications are encouraged from graduates or early careers professionals with a background and interest in formulation/emulsion chemistry.

Role Description

  • Working as part of the formulation team to develop pesticide products
  • Researching and developing new products
  • Tweaking product formulations and stability testing
  • Occasional work on quality testing and manufacturing
  • Complying with health and safety regulations and working safely in the laboratory

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or equivalent industrial experience
  • Exceptional work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
  • Knowledge of emulsion chemistry
  • Hands on experience with HPLC
  • Able to commute to the Telford area daily
  • Full right to work in the UK
