- Support strategy development, using knowledge of both the aerospace market and business competitors
- Contribute to the development of the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market trends
- Closely monitor industry trends and be able to articulate impact on current business
- Support the Sales & Commercial Director in preparation of forecasts in furtherance of short, medium and long term strategic goals
- Develop new business pipeline which supports delivery of short, medium and long term strategic goals
- Conversion of pipeline to deliver sales in line with annual budgets
- Ensure pipeline supports strategic profit expectations over the life of the contract
- Undertake sales and marketing activities to support business growth initiatives
- Identify opportunities and lead efforts to win new business with new customers whilst leveraging full group capabilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Support preparation of business cases for internal review and approval
- Support definition of pricing strategies on new product
- Ensure alignment with site level sales and commercial teams to leverage knowledge sharing and contacts to optimise delivery of the annual budgeted new business win targets and wider strategic goals
- Work with the site teams to develop proposals that address the customer needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar “hunter” role
- Experience dealing with Aerospace customers (Safran, GE, Pratt & Witney, Airbus, Boeing etc)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, EDM, laser cutting, pressings etc
- Experience working in a multi-site environment
