Group Marketing Manager

Monday Friday 37.5 hours per week hybrid working available after probation

This is a fantastic job opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company in Telford. They are looking for a Group Marketing Manager to lead on marketing support for one of their brands globally and assist the rest of the team with marketing for other manufactured brands and global sales divisions as necessary.

You will have good all-round marketing implementation skills creativity, writing, planning and implementing. You should have excellent communication skills and be a self-motivated and strategic thinker who can generate ideas that align with the business objectives. Attention to detail is most critical.

An interest in manufacturing would be ideal although previous experience in this industry is not essential. It is a fast-paced environment so you would need to be able to prioritise your workload effectively and ensure all deadlines are met.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Working closely with the wider team to lead all online and offline marketing for each brand.
  • Helping to develop the marketing strategy and tactical plans for all brands and divisions in line with company objectives.
  • Customer profiling creating buyer personas for all brands and identifying messages and approaches which will resonate with each audience.
  • Ensuring data and customer insights are implemented into campaigns/working practice
  • Overseeing, supporting and developing the current Marketing Coordinator.
  • Planning and co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Creating written and visual content for a wide range of marketing materials (online and offline).
  • Liaising with external agencies and freelancers.
  • Overseeing the companys marketing budget for all brands and UK sales divisions.
  • Working with the sales teams (UK and global) to plan and implement promotional campaigns.
  • Managing and improving lead generation campaigns.
  • Brand management and use of corporate identity for all manufactured brands.
  • Assisting with new product launches and managing exhibitions UK and globally.
  • Overseeing internal communications and working with HR to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of company updates.
  • Analysing potential strategic partner relationships and planning and overseeing production of filmed content and CGI as required.
  • Tracking competitor activity by keeping abreast of market changes and the marketing mix used by competitors.
  • Proof-reading.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 6 years experience in a similar role either in-house or agency.
  • Ideally English language GCSE grade B or above and Maths grade C or above. A marketing qualification including CIM or CIPR Diploma / Professional Certificate Level 5/6 is desirable.
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Project management from planning through to implementation
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience in using CMS.
  • Ideally the candidate will have experience of using a customer insights platform such as HubSpot
  • Working knowledge of email marketing software (MailChimp or similar)
  • Experience of using Canva would be beneficial
  • Experience with a social media scheduling tool
  • Creativity
  • Opportunity spotting including identifying new marketing channels / tools
  • Organisational skills and time-management are absolutely critical
