We are excited to partner with an established and rapidly growing company in Telford, offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Marketing Director to join their dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Sales Director, this role is key to reshaping and driving the companys marketing strategy forward.

As Marketing Director, you will be responsible for conducting a thorough review and overhaul of the current marketing approach. You will gain a deep understanding of the companys specialist market, assess data from existing and past campaigns, and develop a strategic marketing plan that positions the business for further growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the companys objectives and market position.
  • Ensure that all products and services are communicated clearly and effectively, using the appropriate tone and language for each target audience.
  • Revamp the digital and social media marketing strategy, ensuring seamless implementation across platforms.
  • Oversee continuous evolution of the company website, ensuring it reflects the latest branding and market trends.
  • Conduct detailed market and trend analysis to keep the company at the forefront of its industry.
  • Perform in-depth competitor analysis, ensuring the business excels in promoting its services against key rivals.
  • Ensure new leads generated from marketing campaigns are efficiently directed to relevant departments for follow-up.
  • Manage relationships with external marketing agencies for creative projects, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
  • Support internal communication initiatives, fostering employee engagement and brand alignment within the company.
  • Collaborate with HR & Recruitment teams to refine recruitment marketing strategies, ensuring the company attracts top talent in its specialist market.
  • Participate in industry-related events and exhibitions, representing the company at a senior level.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to deliver projects that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Ensure all branding is consistent across all departments and communication channels.
  • Develop bespoke go-to-market plans for each vertical market within the organisation.
  • Regularly review sales and marketing data to measure the success of campaigns, track ROI, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lead public relations efforts, maintaining a strong, positive brand presence in the market.
  • Collect and leverage case studies and testimonials to enrich marketing materials and client engagement.

Skills& experience required to apply:

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within a similar technical, or engineering industry or specialist market.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to analyse market trends and translate them into actionable marketing plans.
  • Expertise in digital marketing and social media strategies, with a proven track record of success in increasing engagement and brand awareness.
  • Competency in data-driven decision making, able to analyse campaign performance and use insights to improve future strategies.
  • Experience working with external marketing agencies and managing creative projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, social media management, and content marketing principles.
  • Experience in event management and representing companies at industry events.
  • Ability to lead and inspire marketing teams, ensuring cohesive execution of strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with brand management and aligning internal and external communications.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of PR strategies and experience in maintaining positive brand perception.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and software such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and email marketing platforms.

In terms of working location, we are keen to find an individual that is based locally to the Shropshire area that can be present on site at their amazing Telford based office. Whilst they try and foster a mature and flexible approach to working location when required, they do prefer people to be based on site as much as possible.
