Brake Press Setter Operator – £13.50 to £14.50/hr | Days Only | Permanent Role

We’re currently recruiting for a Brake Press Setter Operator to join a busy and well-organised sheet metal fabrication workshop based in Telford. This is a full-time, permanent role, working straight days in a friendly and supportive environment.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brake machinery to produce a variety of sheet metal components. You’ll be working from technical drawings and product plans, preparing and aligning materials, checking measurements, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet required quality standards. The role will also involve performing routine machine maintenance and supporting wider workshop duties where needed.
What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking someone with previous experience in a metal fabrication or engineering environment, ideally with at least one year of hands-on press brake operation. You should be confident working from technical drawings, have good attention to detail, and be physically able to perform manual tasks including standing, lifting, and handling materials throughout the day. Basic computer and maths skills are also important for this role.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 16:30
Friday: 06:00 to 15:00
This is a days-only position with no night or weekend shifts required.
Pay and benefits:
The hourly rate is £13.50 to £14.50 depending on experience.
