Our industry leading client within the manufacturing sector are currently seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator / Setter to join their team on the night shift. The ideal candidate will have experience working with sheet metal and possess mechanical knowledge to operate and set up press brake machinery effectively.
- Working on Stafford Park Monday to Thursday 6pm-6am with a one hour break through the shift.
- £13.50 pay rate plus £1 shift allowance totaling £14.50 per hour
Duties
- Operate and set up press brake machinery to bend, form, and cut sheet metal
- Read and interpret drawings to determine the correct dimensions for the final product
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform basic maintenance on machinery as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met
Qualifications
- 2 years previous experience operating a press brake machine is essential
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency in using hand tools
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and tooling
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machine issues
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience in welding, grinding, or assembling metal components is advantageous
