Credit Controller/Accounts | Permanent | Telford | FT/PT | Hybrid | £25,000-£28,000

Seymour John is working in partnership with a company based in Telford to recruit a Credit Controller on a full-time or part-time basis (salary pro-rata for part-time hours). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in managing and maintaining the company’s credit control function.

The Role

As a Credit Controller/Accounts Payable officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and monitoring outstanding debt to ensure timely payments.
  • Chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and written communication.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth credit control processes.
  • Resolving payment queries and negotiating repayment plans where necessary.
  • Processing and reconciling payments received.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure accurate billing and account management.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting or finance software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Experience using SAP (advantageous but not essential).
