SolidWorks Design Engineer Permanent Full-TimeSalary - Circa £33,000 DOE Location - In Office, TelfordWe're supporting a leading provider who specialises in the design, fabrication, and precision engineering of tailored, specialised critical infrastructure components and systems for the construction, manufacturing, and engineering industries.They are seeking a SolidWorks CAD Design Engineer with experience in creating CNC programmes to join their team of professionals. You will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using various software tools, such as SolidWorks and Radan, to support engineering and construction projectsResponsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings for structural elements, systems, and components in line with project specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand design concepts and provide technical support throughout the project
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Review and modify designs to enhance functionality, efficiency, and manufacturability
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and CAD files for future reference and updates
  • Assist project teams in resolving technical design challenges and making necessary adjustments

Experiences required

  • Proficient in SolidWorks is essential
  • Knowledge of Radan is advantageous
  • Understanding of Press Brake & Punch Press operations is beneficial
  • Design for sheet metal fabrication within CNC production is advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in designs
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet project goals and deadlines
