THE ROLE

In the role of Event Logistics Coordinator, you will take the lead in coordinating and planning all aspects of event logistics. This includes working closely with project teams to organise transportation, setup, and breakdown of AV and VR equipment. You will also handle travel arrangements, booking hotels, flights, and hire vehicles when required, ensuring that all logistics run seamlessly. Creating detailed timelines and schedules will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that every logistical element is executed efficiently and on time.

A crucial aspect of this role is managing relationships with vendors and suppliers. You will liaise with suppliers, venues, and transport providers to secure necessary resources while maintaining cost efficiency. This includes negotiating contracts and fostering strong partnerships with external vendors to support the smooth delivery of each event.

Managing technical equipment and inventory will also be a priority. You will oversee the preparation, packing, and transport of equipment, ensuring that all assets are accurately accounted for. Proactively monitoring equipment availability and addressing any shortages is essential, as is coordinating additional equipment rentals or sub-rentals from external suppliers to meet event requirements.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing logistics budgets, tracking expenditures to optimise cost-effectiveness, and maintaining financial control throughout each project. Post-event, you will compile detailed reports that highlight logistical successes, challenges encountered, and areas for improvement, helping to refine processes and enhance future event delivery.

THE CANDIDATE

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, driven, and persuasive individual with a keen interest in emerging technologies such as virtual reality, esports, gaming equipment, and audio-visual technology.

The perfect candidate will have proven experience in telephone-based sales and an engaging phone manner, you bring high aspirations for substantial earnings and a strong ambition to advance your sales career. Self-motivated and exceptionally organized, you're resilient and comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers, CEOs, and managing directors. Your strong written communication skills complement your proficiency with Microsoft Office, and you have a solid understanding of current technologies, including VR and AV equipment, enabling you to effectively connect clients with cutting-edge solutions in the industry.
