EHS Manager Wolverhampton - on site - permanent or interim £45,000 - £55,000 The HSE Recruitment Network have partnered with leading global automotive supplier looking for an EHS Manager on a permanent or interim basis. The role is to oversee the overall business management system and take the lead for the continual improvement of EHS compliance, performance and systems, to deliver an evolving safety culture within the business.The Main Responsibilities:
  • Owner of the EHS Management systems including division and group certifications to ISO14001/45001 and internal auditing.
  • Support the development of the leaders and workforce to facilitate safe working practices
  • Provide support to the wider team to ensure compliance and safety development to drive cultural changes.
  • Deliver IOSH training programmes across the business where required.
  • Challenge and educate the workforce and leaders behave in a way that is compliant with health and safety best practices.
  • Play an active and collaborative role with the leadership team to drive a safe working culture.
  • Risk management and safety improvements to improve incidence rates and reduce risk.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience working at EHS Manager level in a manufacturing environment 
  • Experience driving a strong health and safety culture including behavioural based safety
  • Experience in major risk environments
  • Knowledge of EHS legislation and its practical application
  • Comfortable to act as lead investigator
  • Conversant with ISO45001 and 14001 standards
  • Experience leading audits
  • Intermediate Excel skills including gathering and working with high volumes of data
  • IT literate and able to navigate portals to upload data
  • Able to coach, train, and challenge individuals and practices in a collaborative and supportive manner
  • Must have a passion for health and safety
Desirable:
  • NEBOSH Diploma / NEBOSH Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Lead Auditor
  • Experience in an Automation business
