Our client is looking for a Billing Assistant who has experience of handling complex billing in a fast- paced environment and being able to liaise with customer and stakeholders across the business.
The client is currently in a transformation and change stage of their lifecycle to, not only improve systems and processes, but to prepare for growth.
This role encompasses two key areas, firstly, supporting the billing specialist in the day to day running of the billing process including ensuring that customers receive accurate and timely bills, and that new customers are onboarded efficiently. Secondly, providing support and contributing to overhauling the processes around billing and ensuring that we have automated systems in place that work for the long term as the business continues to expand.

Key Accountabilities
- To be responsible for preparing sales invoices ready for review by line manager.
- Working with our Commercial and Legal Teams to bill large one-off contracts at the right time and in line with contract terms.
- Being a part of the customer onboarding process including helping account management teams to manage the customer’s expectations and to discuss their requirements, to ensure billing processes remain robust and sustainable.
- Help capture customer requirements with the project team to ensure that billing allows for prompt payment.
- Assisting with customer queries and any issues that arise regarding billing.
- Assisting with intercompany billing and raising bills between our subsidiaries.
- Reconcile source data vs billed data to sense check the manual billing process.
Required Experience:
- Proven Excel skills (minimum Lookups, pivots, etc).
- Experience in SalesForce appreciated.
- Experience in NetSuite appreciated.
- Telecoms industry background useful
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in Access Database.
