We are looking for 2 Day Based Engineers for our Telford site to complement our existing Engineering team.

You will play a vital part in supporting the business and engineering department in both facility works and maintenance activities.

The Engineer positions are a full-time role based in Telford, working 41.5 hours per week following a rotating days shift pattern.



About the Role

As the Days Engineer your responsibilities include:

  • Support the department with maintenance activities - PPM & Corrective work
  • Support in machine issue rectification
  • Support in LOLER & PUWER compliance activities; including crane servicing and statutory inspections
  • General repairs to buildings including lighting, drains and toilets
  • Responsible for all Telford properties
  • Contractor management including Permit to Work
  • Provide solutions at best value for the business

Essential Skills

You will be a qualified craftsperson with certification (ONC/HNC/HND - Mech, Elec, multi-skilled), experience working in a maintenance environment and managing contractors.

  • CMMS experience - working to PPM cycles and maintaining schedule adherence.
  • Prior experience working in an FMCG environment.
  • Previous experience in equipment specification, diagnostics, systems integration and maintenance coordination.
  • Interpersonal skills to adapt to a diverse group of employees, customers and suppliers.
  • MEWP experience preferable.
