Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Telford. This is a full-time position requiring a confident and experienced teacher who can engage students from Key Stages 3 and 4 and deliver high-quality English lessons. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will join a supportive and forward-thinking English department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' academic and personal development.
• Use innovative teaching methods to ensure high levels of student engagement and progress.
• Regularly assess and provide constructive feedback to students to support their progress and attainment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject.
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and classroom management.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
