Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a global communications provider who specialise in providing documentation and technical writing here in the UK to find a Lead Technical Author with AESP experience in the Telford area.

Driving the development within the production team and rolling out processes and operational change are some of the responsibilities that come with this role. Other responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with the customer and other internal technical relationships
  • Be the key point of contact acting as the operational day to day technical expert.
  • Review schedules to help successful and precise delivery to key milestones.
  • Expand processes, production methods and training, to later deploy with the organisation to support efficiency gains
  • Assess technology and software solutions to assist automation and boost offering to customers

The ideal candidate with have an in-depth technical and engineering competence which has been gained within relevant industries and environments.

Proven experience in creating and compiling AESP (Army Equipment Support Publications), showing an understanding of military standards and specifications.

The role will be on a 12 Month contract basis inside IR35.

This role will be a hybrid position with requirements to be in the office 3 days a week initially. There will be opportunity for this to be flexed down the line.

To be a successful candidate, you must be a UK national and hold SC security clearance or have the ability to gain this.
