R&D Engineer - 3947Term: Permanent, Full Time (Mon-Fri, 39 hours per week)Holiday: 33 days per year, including statutory holidays

We are currently seeking an R&D Engineer for our esteemed client, a leading company in the manufacturing of inspection equipment. With a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in the metal and plastics industries. This organization offers a dynamic environment for professional growth and a track record for promoting and investing from within.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching and evaluating new technologies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and report on technologies relevant to current and future developments.
  • Conduct testing and generate technical reports for internal and external presentation.
  • Produce technical documentation for production systems as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with design, electrical, and software teams to deliver timely solutions.
  • Assist the production team with the testing of standard gauging when necessary.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, ideally with a mechanical bias.
  • CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with VB, C#, or C++ would be adventurous.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of dimensional measurement principles.
  • Experience in machine vision applications.
  • Proficient in detailed manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
