Reed Further Education are working with a college based in Telford who are search for a EconomicsLecturer to cover A-level Business and Economics courses. This is a temporary position and offers full-time hours starting from February. The role involves delivering high-quality lectures and supporting students in their academic journey.

Job Title: Economics Lecturer

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures in A-level Business and Economics to a diverse group of students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that cater to a range of learning needs.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students during office hours.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to enhance curriculum delivery and stay updated with current trends in education.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in Business and/or Economics.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching A-level courses is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Must possess an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
