Do you have a passion for continuous improvement and systems development? I am pleased to say you have come to the right place as MDE are searching for a Systems Developer to drive and enhance systems that improve efficiency at an advanced manufacturing site.

The role

Focusing on designing and implementing innovative systems solutions to support data proliferation and process efficiency across the business. In this role, you will be crucial in translating business requirements into technical specifications and custom-built systems. You will be responsible for improving existing systems, creating new ones, and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of data-driven solutions. Collaboration with various teams to integrate and streamline systems will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement systems solutions aligned with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Analyze and redesign existing business processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate within a team to create and enhance technical and system solutions that support decision-making.
  • Integrate systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all platforms.
  • Maintain and support databases, systems, and platforms.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to maximize their effectiveness.
  • Participate in web development solutions.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties, including specialized reporting.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Developer or in a similar role.
  • Experience with end-to-end process improvements and design.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficient in various programming languages.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of different operating systems and databases.
  • Ability to adapt to change and respond to evolving business needs.
  • Strong logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated initiative and innovation.
  • Experience with front and back-end web systems.
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders to understand issues and manage expectations.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing enviroment.
  • Educated to Degree level.
