Shift: 37.5 Hours per week working 8-hour night shifts Monday - Friday

What You Will Do:

  • Spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge controls improvements to enhance OEM architecture, boosting operator interactions and overall process efficiencies.
  • Diagnose and deliver hands-on solutions to complex automation challenges, ensuring sustainable and efficient performance.
  • Engage daily with the Production team, fostering a deep understanding of business needs and cultivating process documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the AME and NPI teams to define and implement automated solutions that drive process improvement strategies, focusing on uptime, quality improvements, and cycle time reduction.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement activities, leveraging your expertise to drive department-wide enhancements.
  • Tackle automation failures head-on, eliminating risks and integrating cell upgrades through strategic hardware additions.

What You Will Bring:

  • A solid foundation in Manufacturing / Electrical Engineering, qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in ABB (IRC5), Siemens S7 PLC project development, including general PLC programming and Siemens WinCC / WinCC Flex project development
  • A keen understanding of control systems, coupled with strong skills in root cause analysis and 8D.
  • Experience in the implementation and optimisation of vision systems, demonstrating a knack for innovative problem-solving.
  • A proactive approach to eliminating non-conforming product risks through automated solutions and a proven track record in supporting new product launches.
