Salary: Starting Salary £18.50 per hourShift: Days: 8- 4.45 Mon - Thursday and 8 - 12.00 on a Friday plus overtime at an enhanced rate

Overview

Seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Assemble and fit mechanical components
  • Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems
  • Assemble and fit mechanical components according to technical drawings
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper functioning of mechanical systems
  • Document and report any issues or maintenance activities

Qualifications

  • Certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components and systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
