Engine Fitter needed in Telford, Shropshire!!

We are actively recruiting for an experienced Engine Fitter to join a leading manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire.

We are looking for someone who has previous Strip & Rebuild experience working with vehicles, the hiring manager is looking for someone who has specifically worked with Engines and anyone with experience with Mechanics, Agricultural, Plant Machinery, Construction, Off-Highway, Defence, HGV or LGV Mechanics would be well received.

This role would suit someone who is used to getting their hands dirty, has previous mechanical/assembly fitting experience and has experience working in a busy workshop environment.

This role comes with a competitive starting salary up to £30,000 per annum, which will be reviewed upon completion of a three month probation period.

What You Will Do

  • Strip down and refurbish engine components with precision and skill.
  • Clean and prepare parts for reassembly, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing on reassembled components to guarantee functionality.
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately to meet specifications.
  • Utilise a range of hand and power tools daily, including spanners and torque wrenches.
  • Maintain machinery records meticulously, completing all necessary paperwork.

  • Demonstrable skills in working with engines and an ability to read engineering drawings.
