If you are a trained Mechanical Engineer with shop floor experience (i.e. CNC Operator/Production Engineer) ready for something more, this could be your perfect chance to take the next step.
There are varying levels within the Mechanical Fitting team with options to progress through into Senior levels and beyond if you are keen to do that. Once fully trained, Mechanical Fitters will carry out the assembly of all mechanical systems & equipment for large installations in the UK & overseas
Overseas Travel - NOTE
This is roughly 2-3 trips per year planned well in advance
There is another Mechanical Fitting team who DO NOT travel if you are keen on the role but want to stay site based
Mechanical Fitters- The Person:
You will either have the below skills OR develop them through your training here.

Hands-on experience of mechanical equipment assembly or machine building

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Ability to complete mechanical inspection
-
Demonstrate a good working knowledge of using various hand tools

Have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes
-
Self-motivated and able to use initiative in prioritising tasks

Keen to accept responsibility and accountability

Professional manner, able to represent the company to a high standard

Basic tool kit required, supplemented by company tool allowance scheme
