Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Software Development Engineer on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire.
Hours: Mon-Fri | Mon-Thurs 8.30-5.15 & Fri 8.30-4.15 Fully Office based
Salary: £38,000 - £44,000 DOE.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maintaining and enhancing our own C++ based gauge/machine control software (GaugeXplorer).
Designing and creating bespoke software applications.
Creating interface drivers for a large range of hardware including motors, sensors, printers and cameras.
Providing direct customer and in-house support for production and service departments.
Occasional travel to customers facilities both UK and overseas.
The successful Candidate:
Visual C++ (essential), C#, SQL, in depth understanding of Windows OS
Stemmer CVB, Machine Control, Image Processing (Advantageous)
An interest in an engineering environment
Level 3 Engineering qualification preferred, or time served.
Without a qualification, 8 years experience minimum is essential.
