Our well established logistics client based on Stafford Park, Telford seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join their team on a full time temp to perm basis, working twelve full weeks through Swift before being offered a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and have a solid understanding of office procedures. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the transport office environment, supporting various administrative functions, and maintaining accurate records.

This position will be mainly based on Stafford Park, however on occasion may require travel to our client's site on Hortonwood dependent on stock levels and travel plans for drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, and clerical tasks
  • Manage correspondence and communications, ensuring professional phone etiquette
  • Maintain organised records and databases to support efficient data retrieval
  • Ensure the office environment is well-organised and equipped with necessary supplies
  • Prepare and produce work sheets such as delivery sheets for drivers
  • Ensure drivers are following routes and liaise with drivers regarding any disruptions to their planned routes
  • Liaise with customers regarding updates for the deliveries
  • Ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Adhere to legislation regarding driving hours and transport / logistics

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills
