Immediate Requirement for a Town Planner to join a multi-disciplinary practice based near Telford, Shropshire, as part of their growing team.
The practice are well established and over time have developed an excellent reputation for delivering high quality projects within a variety of sectors including; Healthcare, Education and Residential schemes, with projects tending to range in value up to 20m.
The company is made up of Architects, Structural Engineers, Design Engineers, Town & Country Planners, professional Surveyors and qualified Tradesmen. In joining the Planning Team, your role here is guaranteed to be challenging, yet extremely rewarding.
Town Planners from intermediate through to senior level will be considered for this position, although a Planner with approx. 5 years of experience would be perfect for this role.
Overview of the Town Planner position:
- Overall responsibility for the planning process that the company operates.
- Advising the Board of Directors and company on planning policy changes relevant to core business.
- Working alongside the design and bid team on new projects from RIBA stage 1-3:
- Researching planning policy of the area where the project is being undertaken.
- Engaging with the design team and 3rd party consultants regarding scope of works to ensure a validated application.
- Carrying out pre-app where required.
- Liaison with case officer throughout the determination period and keeping the design team regularly updated.
- Appraising conditions attached to any conditions of planning and working with the design and construction team to ensure these are suitably addressed / discharged.
The salary banding for this position is broad due to the wide range in candidates being considered, but is likely to be in the region of 35,000-50,000 per annum alongside a competitive benefits package.
