Are you a skilled Legal Secretary looking for your next opportunity within residential conveyancing? Our client is seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join its Telford office. You will play a crucial role in supporting fee earners by providing comprehensive administrative assistance, helping to deliver exceptional client service.

About the Role:

As a Conveyancing Legal Secretary in the Residential Property team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and scanning post onto the firm’s systems
  • Opening and closing client files
  • Preparing client care documentation
  • Ordering searches, including search packs and pre-exchange searches (e.g., OS1s, bankruptcy searches, Lawyer Checker)
  • Regularly updating LMS/Lender Exchange
  • Communicating with and updating agents
  • Managing post-completion matters such as AP1s and SDLTs
  • Handling exchange and completion letters

What They’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 2 years' office or administrative experience, preferably legal secretary experience in residential conveyancing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in audio typing (preferably legal) and handling client enquiries
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong internal team collaboration and outstanding client care skills
