Job Title: Facilities Engineer Location: Telford, UK Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week, day shift Role Overview:We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Facilities Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the facilities equipment, as well as overseeing contractors who supply and service this equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure proper functioning of:
  • Door access and barrier systems
  • CCTV systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Boilers and cooling towers
  • Compressors, vacuum equipment, and chillers
  • Water treatment and waste-water treatment plants
  • HV/LV supply equipment and site drainage systems
  • Lighting, emergency lighting, air conditioning, and air handling systems
  • Manage contractors providing services for maintenance, cleaning, and other essential tasks.
  • Promote and adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies across the department and plant.
  • Undertake and introduce preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain building fabric and welfare facilities.
  • Support site security and emergency systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Time-served maintenance engineer or electrician.
  • IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with contractor management.
  • Hands-on approach and self-starter attitude.

Desirable:

  • HV training.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (e.g., Agility).
  • Knowledge of CHP/gas generators.
  • Skills in plumbing, carpentry, or gas safety.
