Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a leading European full-service supplier of flexible plastic and laminate packaging.

Job Role:

Our client is looking for a multiskilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias ,ideally candidates will possess an HNC qualification. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential.

Their blue-chip customer base in consumer and industrial markets includes international brands and household names to whom they sell directly and via merchants. The site houses modern blown film extrusion technology and flexographic printers (up to 10 colours).

Typical Duties will involve:

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and actively promotes preventative maintenance & Continuous Improvement and its activities and services to others.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance work.
  • To carry out mechanical repairs as required.
  • Diagnosing breakdown problems.
  • Liaising with Production teams.
  • Assist with arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, and components.
  • Dealing with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties assigned.
  • Repair and troubleshoot process, facility equipment and systems.
  • Follow up to ensure all Preventative Maintenance and work orders have been completed.
  • Communicate with relevant departments on any maintenance and related issues.
  • Support production requirements with maintenance and improvements

Desirable experience:

  • HND Qualification
  • Reactive and preventative maintenance - electrical bias
  • Manufacturing or FMCG background
  • Plastic manufacturing - ideally
