Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production machinery. You will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on a range of packaging equipment, including injection molding machines, extruders, and conveyors.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize machinery performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

Requirements for Maintenance Engineer:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within plastic packaging or a similar industry.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Familiarity with PPM schedules and working to minimize downtime.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work the Panama shift pattern.
