Engineering Manager- Manufacturing / FMCG

This renowned UK-based FMCG manufacturer is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their maintenance team towards excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Managing a team of over 20 engineers who are mechanically and electrically trained
  • Ensure adherence to Safety and Environmental Standards, leading by example and enforcing legislation compliance.
  • Manage the engineering function, including the full utilisation of the CMMS system and conducting regular machinery and equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all maintenance activities, ensuring maintenance efficiency and innovation in production equipment operation.
  • Control and manage the Spare Parts warehouse, contributing to maintenance efficiency.
  • Guide and manage departmental employees in procedures and processes, including new equipment installations and compliance with building, facilities, and maintenance.
  • Take responsibility for Cost Control, including waste, labour, engineering, and consumable costs.

What You Will Bring:

  • Technical Qualification Electrical or mechanical HNC or above or formally time served apprenticeship
  • Proven background in manufacturing, production machinery, automation and electrical mechanical maintenance  
  • Proven leadership skills in an engineering environment, with a keen focus on safety and environmental standards.
  • Experience in managing an engineering function, including maintenance activities and CMMS systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to performance to increase OEE
  • A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering department.

You will have current or recent experience as Engineering Manager, Engineering Project Manager, Maintenance Manager or Process Engineering Manager
