Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance & Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for the overall maintenance of plant equipment and facilities ensuring the smooth running of the plant and limit impact on customer demand.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, Supervisor, and Facilities Manager, your mission is to maintain plant equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations while minimizing impacts on customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment availability meets departmental targets.
- Conduct root cause analysis of breakdowns and provide improvement recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement by engineering out recurring issues.
- Execute and refine preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Provide technical support and address non-breakdown issues.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards during all activities.
- Maintain and enhance equipment quality standards.
- Promote and apply 5S methodology throughout the plant.
- Collaborate on departmental and company goals.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Time-served apprentice in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- Qualifications in both electrical and mechanical disciplines (C&G/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Skilled in fault finding with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
Desirable:
- HNC/HND in a related discipline.
- Experience in the casting or automotive supply sector.
- Familiarity with die-casting machines, CNCs, PLCs, robots, furnaces, hydraulic presses, etc.
- Health and Safety accreditation.

Work Environment:
