An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join this leading manufacturer based in Telford. The ideal candidate will come from a food, FMCG, plastics or packaging background and possess strong both mechanical and electrical skills.

Role Description

  • To adhere to all company policies and procedures and actively promote preventative maintenance, Continuous Improvement and its activities and services to others.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance work.
  • To be multi skilled to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
  • To diagnose machine faults and causes of breakdowns.
  • To liaise with production teams on maintenance issues.
  • Assist with the arrangement of specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings and components.
  • Assist with controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
  • Deal with emergency and unforeseen problems and repairs.
  • Carry out all other related and compatible duties assigned.
  • Complete and utilise daily maintenance SAP system.
  • To undertake any ad hoc projects as and when directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working within a manufacturing, food, FMCG, plastics, packaging
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or equivalent
  • Electrically qualifications would also be desired
  • Some experience within facilities - will be expected to carry out some ad-hoc building maintenance
