An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join this leading manufacturer based in Telford. The ideal candidate will come from a food, FMCG, plastics or packaging background and possess strong both mechanical and electrical skills.
Role Description
- To adhere to all company policies and procedures and actively promote preventative maintenance, Continuous Improvement and its activities and services to others.
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance work.
- To be multi skilled to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
- To diagnose machine faults and causes of breakdowns.
- To liaise with production teams on maintenance issues.
- Assist with the arrangement of specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings and components.
- Assist with controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
- Deal with emergency and unforeseen problems and repairs.
- Carry out all other related and compatible duties assigned.
- Complete and utilise daily maintenance SAP system.
- To undertake any ad hoc projects as and when directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working within a manufacturing, food, FMCG, plastics, packaging
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, or equivalent
- Electrically qualifications would also be desired
- Some experience within facilities - will be expected to carry out some ad-hoc building maintenance
