Are you an experienced Planner who is looking for a role with future growth?

Im working with a well-established, national, multi-site manufacturing business who have some imminent growth plans for their Telford site, so they need to recruit a Lead Planner to support the manufacturing plant with the extra orders that are now coming through the facility. As they are already leaders in their sector, and have a well-trusted and respected brand, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work in a driven and experienced team in a fast paced, and growing business.

The Lead Production Planner will be responsible for:

  • Producing and creating production schedules to support the manufacture of both made to stock and bespoke products
  • Updating and maintaining data within the manufacturing intelligence software
  • Liaising with production and commercial teams regarding production progress
  • Utilising data within SAP to ensure production schedules are effective in-line with customer demand data
  • Producing long term and short-term fixed production plans
  • Resolving any issues/bottlenecks in production and adjusting plans as necessary to react to any changes

Skills and Experience

  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Significant experience of Production Planning within a manufacturing business
  • Previous experience as Senior Planner / Lead Planner or significant experience in a Production Planner / Production Controller / Production Scheduler role ready to step up into a Lead position
  • The ability to work well under pressure and be a pragmatic problem solver
  • Good knowledge of MRP / ERP systems will be essential
