Pay Rate: £220.00 a shift 

Foundation Personnel are looking for a skilled and experienced Groundworks Foreman to join a team over in Telford. Our client specialise in high-quality groundwork and site preparation, working across a range of Housing Commercial and Industrial projects. This position offers the right candidate a stable, long-term role with opportunities for growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman or similar role, with expertise in excavation, drainage, and ground preparation.
  • Valid Asbestos Awareness Certificate (essential).
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, especially regarding asbestos.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret project plans and communicate tasks to the team.
  • CSCS card and SSSTS (preferred but not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all groundworks activities, including excavation, drainage, concrete work, and site preparation.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards, on time, and within budget.
  • Lead a team of operatives, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
  • Conduct site inspections and manage risk assessments, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, especially around asbestos.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other foremen to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 Years (ideally) in a Foreman position
  • Asbestos Awareness Certificate
  • Plant Tickets (Advantageous)
