Our extremely well-established client in Telford has asked us to recruit for a Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis. This is a lovely, varied accounts role based in a picturesque setting.

As Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing monthly payroll.
  • Checking holiday and sickness records and ensuring compliance with necessary statutory regulations.
  • Cost analysis.
  • Preparation of payroll related payments, pensions etc.
  • Post payroll journal.
  • Cash and bank entries.
  • Prepare and share weekly labour costings with departments.
  • Month end journals including payroll accrual.
  • Raise sales invoices.
  • Accounts receivable.
  • Perform payroll, AR balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a similar role including payroll. You will need strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word and experience of using Sage payroll and a time and attendance system would be an advantage.
