Year 5/6 Teacher

ABC Teachers are recruiting for a full-time Primary Teacher with substantial experience in a Key Stage 2 environment, to work in a primary school in Telford. The role involves covering a Year 5/6 class from February 2025 until the end of May 2025.

The role 
This full-time role includes the following:

• Working as a class teacher in a Year 5/6 setting, with responsibilities including planning and delivering lessons that support all learners.
• Preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs, including addressing gaps in knowledge and providing targeted support.
• Committing to the role from February 2025 to the end of May 2025.
• Participating in parents’ evenings and providing regular updates on pupil progress (time compensated).

The school 
This role is based at a one-form entry primary school in Telford. The school is known for its supportive environment, committed staff, and engaged community.

Requirements 
To be considered for the Year 5/6 Teacher position, you will: 

•  Have proven experience teaching in Year 5/6 and preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs.
•  Be confident in delivering engaging lessons and managing behaviour effectively.
• Willing to commit to a long-term role in the same school including additional hours for parents evening at the end of each term (time paid for).
•  Have a strong ability when it comes to behaviour management.
•  Need a relevant QTS for working in a primary school environment, this is a compulsory part of registration.
•  Have or be able to obtain a DBS registered to the update service.
•  Be able to gain relevant references from the last 2 years.
