We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Engineering Coordinator for our client, a professional manufacturing company based in Telford.  An understanding of manufacturing processes, including Injection Moulding, High-Pressure Die Casting, and Stamping is desirableIn this role, you will assist in managing, maintaining, and enhancing components, while overseeing the coordination, reporting, and introduction of new products.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the completion of various projects
  • Create, manage, and monitor project plans for all ongoing initiatives
  • Propose and oversee the implementation of improvement activities in the Assembly and Product Engineering departments
  • Monitor project progress and recommend necessary adjustments
  • Manage all tooling assets and assist in the renewal process
  • Ensure the maintenance, replacement, and repair of supplier-loaned production tooling
  • Interpret supplier tooling condition reports and identify when escalation is necessary
  • Analyse maintenance histories and work on mold improvements
  • Collaborate with the quality department on products that do not meet specifications
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure external manufacturing processes are consistent and capable
  • Partner with the Quality Control Department and suppliers to resolve issues
  • Address assembly-related problems
  • Work with suppliers to suggest enhancements in the manufacturing process
  • Develop maintenance strategies and achieve agreed cost savings
  • Provide accurate information to the Technical Information Control team for timely introductions of Engineering Changes, Bills of Material, Product Promotions, and other procedures
  • Engage with suppliers through site visits.
