- Create, manage, and monitor project plans for all ongoing initiatives
- Propose and oversee the implementation of improvement activities in the Assembly and Product Engineering departments
- Monitor project progress and recommend necessary adjustments
- Manage all tooling assets and assist in the renewal process
- Ensure the maintenance, replacement, and repair of supplier-loaned production tooling
- Interpret supplier tooling condition reports and identify when escalation is necessary
- Analyse maintenance histories and work on mold improvements
- Collaborate with the quality department on products that do not meet specifications
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement
- Ensure external manufacturing processes are consistent and capable
- Partner with the Quality Control Department and suppliers to resolve issues
- Address assembly-related problems
- Work with suppliers to suggest enhancements in the manufacturing process
- Develop maintenance strategies and achieve agreed cost savings
- Provide accurate information to the Technical Information Control team for timely introductions of Engineering Changes, Bills of Material, Product Promotions, and other procedures
- Engage with suppliers through site visits.
