Product Test Engineer
Location: Telford
Duration Permanent
Hours: Monday Friday 37.5 hrs early finish on a Friday
Salary: Up to £40k per annum depending on experience
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + Stats (Pro-rata)

We are working with a market-leading manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Test Engineer to manage the product testing processes within their manufacturing site. This newly created position reflects the company's continued investment and commitment to strengthening its Engineering department. They already have a market-leading reputation for their products which have a range of applications across a range of manufacturing processes, and this role will be key for them to develop their market share even further.
As the Test Engineer, you will already have hands-on experience in engineering testing methods gained from within a manufacturing / engineering environment, so you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and managing product testing processes to guarantee the reliability and quality of the companys products. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the product lifecycle, ensuring top-tier performance and innovation.
The Test Engineer will be responsible for:
- Conducting rigorous testing and quality assurance on products within a manufacturing environment
- Working closely with the Engineering department to develop and implement comprehensive test plans, protocols, and procedures.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to product functionality, reliability, and safety
- Collaborating with design and engineering teams to identify and address potential defects or design flaws
- Ensuring all test equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated
- Analysing test results and compile detailed reports for management and stakeholders
- Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality certifications
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within a Technical Test Engineer role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of testing protocols, tools, and methodologies.
- Electrical knowledge and experience will be advantageous
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in CE implementation will be advantageous
- Engineering biased qualification such as HNC / HND / BTEC / BEng would be advantageous but time -served engineering experience will also be considered
