Production Team LeaderTemp to PermTelfordWorking hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday£13.15 per hourWe are looking for an experienced production team leader to join our manufacturing client, based in Telford. You will be leading a medium size team of production operatives, which will include packers and machine operatives and complete all relevant paperwork per shift. The team leader will be responsible for being a front-line manager, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice. The leader is responsible for ensuring the correct procedures are being carried out lead by example and enforce company policy. Main duties:• Monitor all processing operations continuously looking for any areas that can be improved. • Complete all the required daily paperwork accurately and neatly. • Investigating and resolving queries discovered during the course of routine work. • To ensure an engaged and empowered workforce.• Ensure timely placement of manning and in accordance with the plan.• Ensure that effective handovers are carried out at the end of each shift if required. • At shift end the plant and area around it should be handed over in a clean and tidy state. • Train new employees and coach existing employees as agreed with the Supervisor.• Liaise with the operatives to ensure he/she has a clear remit.• To make sure all company SOP's and Work Instructions are implemented & adhered to.• Ensure all your staff understand the company Health & Safety policy and understand and accept their responsibility towards Health & Safety in the workplace. • Ensure housekeeping standards and safe working practices are always maintained. At shift end, the plant and area around it should be left in a clean and tidy state. • Report any H&S issues to the H&S Manager as appropriate.• Ensure any medical attention required by a staff member is provided quickly and effectively by a company first aider.• Make sure all members are wearing and using the company PPE as required and that it is fit for purpose.• Report any machine issues or breakdowns to maintenance.Answering of emails where needed in a timely manner.To apply for this exciting opportunity please call Anita on or apply on line.
