Recruit4Staff is seeking a Buyer for a leading Automation company in Telford, offering a starting salary of up to £35,000 per annum based on experience.
The role is permanent and requires working Monday to Friday from 8:45 am to 5 pm, with additional benefits including 23 days of holiday and a pension contribution scheme.
Candidates must have experience in a similar role, SAP operating system knowledge, and purchasing experience, all of which are essential.
The Buyer will be responsible for processing material requirements, managing suppliers, and ensuring stock is maintained according to manufacturing schedules.
This position is commutable from areas including Telford, Shrewsbury, and Wolverhampton, and is ideal for those with a background in fast-paced manufacturing.

The Role - Buyer:

Processing of material requirements from a SAP generated report to meet Manufacturing requirements
Obtaining accurate price & lead times of materials
Responsible for reporting on material delivery dates to achieve the Fabrication/Manufacturing plan
Working to budgets provided
Expediting purchased orders
Supplier management of activity & negotiations
Ensuring stock is being maintained efficiently and in accordance with the Manufacturing schedule
Communicating with multiple departments on a daily basis
Attending daily meetings to review project progress

Experience in a similar role - ESSENTIAL
SAP Operating system knowledge - ESSENTIAL
Purchasing experience - ESSENTIAL
Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing business - ESSENTIAL
Proven ability to meet schedules
Strong negotiation skills
