This role is pivotal in monitoring and managing supplier performance in line with both Direct and Indirect category strategies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in purchasing, implementing and maintaining procurement excellence while contributing to the organisation’s overall objectives.Key Responsibilities

Purchasing across direct and indirect categories.
Monitor and report supplier performance against defined category strategies.
Provide training to the supplier base on key processes and policies.
Support the delivery of procurement strategies.
Negotiate with suppliers to optimise value delivery.
Support sourcing initiatives.
Collaborate with strategic suppliers.
Act as a high-performing team member aligned with category strategies and business objectives.

Key Qualifications and Experience

Experience in the automotive / manufacturing sector with experience in purchasing.
Knowledge / experience in tooling and assembly procurement preferred.
Familiarity with working with suppliers overseas and managing associated challenges.
Strong understanding of QAFs (Quality Assurance Frameworks) and data analysis.
CIPS qualification or working towards it.
Engineering qualifications are an advantage.
