Recruit4Staff is seeking a Buyer for a leading Automation company in Telford with a starting salary of up to £40,000 per annum based on experience.
This is a permanent, days-based role working from 8:45am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits including free on-site parking and 23 days holiday that increases to 25 after one year of service.
The Buyer will be responsible for processing material requirements, obtaining pricing, managing suppliers, and ensuring stock aligns with the manufacturing schedule.
Candidates must have experience in a similar role, knowledge of the SAP operating system, and purchasing experience, particularly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to meet schedules are essential for this position.

The Role - Buyer:

Processing of material requirements from a SAP generated report to meet Manufacturing requirements
Obtaining accurate price & lead times of materials
Responsible for reporting on material delivery dates to achieve the Fabrication/Manufacturing plan
Working to budgets provided
Expediting purchased orders
Supplier management of activity & negotiations
Ensuring stock is being maintained efficiently and in accordance with the Manufacturing schedule
Communicating with multiple departments on a daily basis
Attending daily meetings to review project progress

Experience in a similar role - ESSENTIAL
SAP Operating system knowledge - ESSENTIAL
Purchasing experience - ESSENTIAL
Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing business - ESSENTIAL
Proven ability to meet schedules
Strong negotiation skills
