Role: Assistant Quantity SurveyorLocation: TelfordOffer: £40,000 + car allowance + contributory pension scheme + life cover + healthcare benefits + great career prospects A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main residential developer in Telford reporting to the Head of Commercial.

The primary purpose of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to support all commercial and financial aspects of assigned projects and contracts to ensure completion is on time, within budget and to legal and quality assurance requirements and regulations. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, some of your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support on various studies and assist with the estimation of materials, time and labour costs, to ensure costs can be established and controlled and projects complete on time and within budget.
  • Working cohesively with other departments across the Operating Company to ensure achievement of targets.
  • Supporting the production of accurate and timely valuation reports and management information to enable the Commercial management team to make informed business decisions.
  • Complying with the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy to ensure health and safety standards are met.

Assistant Quantity Surveyors considering applying will need the following experience:

  • Experience within the house building industry is beneficial
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Package, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Relevant Apprenticeship/Undergraduate/Postgraduate or working towards equivalent qualifications
