We are seeking an experienced NPD Technologist to join a leading food manufacturer in Telford. You will be in a customer facing role, leading the development process from concept to launch. You will lead the business into new profitable areas through proactive innovation & new product development.

Description

  • Applying your in-depth process knowledge to develop efficient and scalable production processes for new and existing food products. To manage this across multiple projects ensure key dates are met/critical paths.
  • Proactive management of recipe generator software, linking in with Procurement & Commercial to ensure up to date recipe specifications & costings.
  • Monitoring and controlling key process parameters to achieve consistency and quality in product development. Ensuring all products are developed in line with all customer and audit requirements.
  • Propose and manage products inline with bench marking for submissions, panels and customer demand. Leading the cooking, serving and discussion of product detail at customer meetings
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Technical, Supply Chain and Commercial, to bring new products from concept to commercialisation.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to key stakeholders, customers and other relevant individuals involved in the NPD process to both manage expectations and meet customer needs.
  • Fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation to ensure successful new product launches.
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager to ensure effective communication and train. Ensuring best practice and process is effectively understood and followed by Production, Technical, Supply Chain and any other person relevant to the production and safety of product.

Monday - Friday - 40 Hours

Profile

A successful NPD Technologist/Chef thats experienced working in a food manufacturing environment, as well as:

  • Strong understanding of H&S in a new product development processes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
