Job Purpose:

Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of the functional safety lifecycle in various projects, ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate engineering teams (both internal and external), overseeing the verification of project deliverables.
  • Mentor junior engineers, graduates, and trainees, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure on-time, quality project delivery within budget, identifying and addressing potential risks and technical changes.
  • Participate in the Engineering Management Working Group, shaping internal standards and driving continuous innovation.
  • Design electrical/control systems, including Functional Design Specifications, Safety Requirements, Single Line Diagrams, and more.
  • Create software designs and produce configurations for various systems like PLC, HMI, SCADA, and more.
  • Oversee testing phases, including Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Maintain ownership of the Technical Construction File.
  • Additional tasks as required by the project.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • Minimum of BEng / BSE / Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar engineering role.
  • Expertise in electrical control systems with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proactive problem-solver with excellent organisational skills.
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and hands-on.
