Due to continued growth at the company they are to be recruiting for an experienced Pallet Network Transport Planner, based at their Deeside depot, reporting directly to the PalletForce Manager. The Transport Planner will be responsible for organising the movement of consignments, ensuring timed deliveries throughout our postcode area are met thus providing an excellent service to their customers

Pallet Network Transport Planner Position Requirements

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor all delivery runs, ensure that drivers are making deliveries on time and communicate with customers regarding any delays
  • Managing and updating transport schedules and diary
  • Liaise with the wider team at the depot to ensure that operational requirements are met
  • Ensuring compliance of Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) and ensuring the department continuously achieves a high level of customer focus & service
  • Answering questions from customers
  • Ensure that drivers abide with all regulations, i.e. tachographs, defects, etc.
  • Liaison with workshop to support maintenance schedule
  • To cover for other areas as required
  • To follow all Health and Safety requirements and to adhere to all Company's procedures and policies
  • To enter data from customers onto IT systems
  • To work flexible hours to suit the demands and needs of the business and cover for holidays / sickness.
  • Booking in deliveries and collections
  • Ensuring that all drivers have all the necessary paperwork and information to carry out their duties
  • Keep up to date with legislation

Pallet Network Transport Planner Position Remuneration

  • £30k+ (DOE) per annum
  • Pension
  • Wellbeing Programme
  • Will be part of a team of 5 working on the network PalletForce. Hours are 6-3 earliest and 11-(7-8 depending on work load) on a rotating basis. Based in Telford.
