Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home

Salary:13.50 per hour

Residential care for young people aged 10 to 25 with complex emotional, psychological, and developmental needs.

Servisourceare seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the managing and supervising the Team Leaders and Residential Support Worker team and any ancillary staff, along with the day-to-day supervisory responsibilities of those staff so decided by the Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate professionalism in daily duties and represent the Company externally.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in maintaining staff rotas and coverage.
  • Identify care deficits and training needs, providing necessary training.
  • Support day-to-day management of the home and enhance the quality of life for young people.
  • Act as a role model and key worker, managing pre-admission assessments, care plans, and records.
  • Ensure staff are trained and informed in all aspects of home management.
  • Comply with Company procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain health, safety, and welfare standards.
  • Participate in social activities and manage related allowances.
  • Report health or safety concerns promptly and follow safeguarding procedures.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Possession / Working towards -Diploma level 5 Leadership & Management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent team work abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of the care needs and care plans of specific young people/young adults at the placement and of those of Looked After Children/young adults generally
  • Ability to identify their own and others professional, care and training needs
  • Full driving licence
