Aspire People are recruiting for a specialist primary school in Telford, Shropshire, who cater for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Physical Disabilities (PD), and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN). We are seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join this vibrant school.

Key Responsibilities:
* Personalised Support: Work closely with individual pupils and small groups to provide tailored support that meets their specific needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
* Inclusive Learning Environment: Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that promotes inclusion and encourages independence for all pupils.
* Behavioural Support: Employ positive behaviour management strategies to support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive interactions with peers and staff.
* Communication Assistance: Facilitate effective communication for pupils with SLCN through the use of visual aids, alternative communication methods, and other resources.
* Daily Care: Provide personal care support as needed, ensuring that pupils' physical and emotional well-being is always prioritised.

What We're Looking For:
* Experience: Previous experience working with children with additional needs, particularly in a school or educational setting, is highly desirable.
* Empathy & Patience: A warm, caring attitude and the ability to remain patient and calm under pressure are essential qualities for this role.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of pupils and the school environment, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Team Player: A collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn and share ideas with the wider school team.
